4-1-2-3, no Luiz: Chelsea probable line-up against Manchester United, Pulisic starts

The Premier league kicks off effectively this weekend but how will Chelsea line-up against Manchester United in their league opener?

Frank Lampard will lead the Blues to their first outing of the 2019/20 against arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Lampard inherited a thin squad from Maurizio Sarri and he has been restricted to working with no new players but he has integrated the youth set-up into the first team.

Chelsea had a pre-season of ups and downs but Lampard will be hoping to lead the Blues to a top four finish in the league at least.

The former Blues midfielder wants Chelsea to play in a 4-2-3-1 system that will involve the team pressing high up the pitch, which will be a complete deviation from the Sarri-ball system.

Chelsea injury news
Lampard has quite a chunk of his key players out with injuries.

Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Rudiger are all nearing full fitness after sustaining various injuries.

Willian and Ngolo Kante are expected to be a part of the league opener.

The imminent move of David Luiz to Arsenal means Lampard will have a selection headache in his back-line.

But EPLVAR thinks, Chelsea will line-up this way against Manchester United.
