£43m man a fantastic signing, Havertz: Connections are coming, Lampard told to keep Player

Chelsea told £50 million for Partey, Havertz sends exciting message, Chelsea told to keep Hudson-Odoi and Partey would have been fantastic signing in deadline day roundup.

Chelsea were told that they needed to pay £50 million to sign Thomas Partey in the summer.

With that transfer window closing on just a few hours time, There has been alot of talk in the media that Chelsea will be looking to get one more transfer deal in to help improve the side defensively.

That has led to some shock speculation in the media that Chelsea are ready to activate the £50 million clause in the contract of Thomas Partey, and bring him to London, despite the mega interest from Arsenal in a potential transfer deal.

La Liga TV’s Semra Hunter told Sky Sports News: “Lucas Torreira is in Madrid, he had his medical a couple of days ago and he is ready to go, he passed that with flying colours.

“The problem is Atletico Madrid have to offload someone at the very least, it looks like it will be either Thomas Lemar or Hector Herrera or a combination of the two. But neither have a transfer deal in the works.

“When it comes to Thomas Partey, Atletico have said he is untransferable and they won’t sell him, but if Chelsea or Arsenal are interested, they will have to pay his release clause of £50m. “As of right now, that hasn’t been activated and he is staying put. Atletico are counting on Partey and they have to get rid of someone else in order to make Torreira official.”

Callum Hudson-Odoi boasts the kind of “huge potential” that Chelsea should be looking to keep on their books, says Gianfranco Zola.

Regarded as one of the very best talents in the game, Hudson-Odoi has once again been in the transfer headlines over the past few weeks after reports emerged that Bayern Munich were keen to take him to the Bundesliga on a loan basis.

Added competition for places, along with the odd injury issue, means that Hudson-Odoi is no longer guaranteed a regular role at Stamford Bridge, and with the Euros next summer, he is definitely interested in making the move to The German Champions.

But amid all the speculation, Zola believes the Blues need to be doing all that they can to retain the services of the talented 19-year-old, The Chelsea legend told Sky Sports: “When you are talking about a young player you are talking about how good he is and how good he can become and certainly Callum is one of those players who has huge potential.

“It will be down to him to keep working and improving, but in my opinion he has a bright future ahead of him because he has qualities not many players have.

“Now it is down to him to use those qualities in the best way. You don’t have to just work on your game, you have to work on yourself. This is the last step to becoming a big, big player.”

Chelsea’s record-breaking signing kai Havertz has opened up and told fans: CONNECTIONS ARE COMING

Havertz is just one of a number of players that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard brought to the club this transfer window as he looks to reinvent the side into a Premier League title challenging squad.

His performances have improved game by game since that debut at Brighton, with the weekend victory over Crystal Palace offering further proof of collective progress between himself and the rest of the squad, he has sent a very exciting message to the fans.

‘The first half was difficult because they were stuck in their own half and it was difficult to create chances, but the second half was better,’ said Havertz on the club website. ‘We played well and scored four goals. It gives us a lot of confidence. After the international break we have to continue like this.

‘It takes a bit of time to find connections. A lot of players, like me, didn’t have pre-seasons, and a lot of players are new. It takes maybe a month for everyone to settle in nice. It’s different for players to come from another country, young as well, but now we are settled in very good.

‘We are getting more comfortable on the pitch. We all have to get a little bit fitter and when we do that we will play better and better. ‘We can achieve a lot this season. We have very good players, a good coach, and we are here to win titles. That’s our goal.’
