£57m-rated Chelsea star in ‘Big trouble’ after poor performance against Sheffield United

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has a big question mark over his future following his performance against Sheffield United. This is According to Football London.

The Italian international started his first game since the restart of the Premier League but failed to impress.

“If there was a game which highlighted why Jorginho is not the long-term solution to the midfield role, that was it,” Football London wrote.

“The Blues needed impetus in the match, on both sides of the ball, and the Italy international was just not able to provide it.

“The tempo was down massively, and there wasn’t any sort of protection in front of the defence to help stop the breaks.

“People might say that N’Golo Kante is not the passer that Jorginho is, but he can still do a job on the ball just as well. “But what he gives in defence is far superior to Jorginho and that massively outweighs those attacking issues.

“Kante is a huge loss to Lampard and the Blues, and he will be keen to have him back for at least the FA Cup semi-final next weekend.

“Jorginho has his qualities, but he showed none of them in the defeat to Sheffield United, and it leaves big question marks over his future. “Is Jorginho really the future of the position of the Blues in the midfield?”
