Almost Done: Frank Lampard’s favourite forward could sign for direct PL rivals

Arsenal are reportedly still in talks with Chelsea forward Willian over a potential move to the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2020-21 season.

The Brazil international is contracted to the West London club until the end of the 2019-20 campaign, however, his long-term future at Stamford Bridge stays unclear.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered Brazilian winger a lucrative deal to make the move to North London club on a free transfer in the summer.

However, according to Bleacher Report, the Gunners are also very much in the hunt for the South American winger, with Mikel Arteta’s side ‘making contact’ to determine what sort of contract he is looking for in terms of wages and length.

Brazilian forward, who is believed to want a three-year deal at the West London club, has found back of the net 11 times and provided nine assists in 45 games for Frank Lampard’s side during the current campaign.

The versatile forward has been in English football since arriving from Russian outfits Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013.

Arsenal head-coach Mikel Arteta will reportedly only have limited funds to spend in thes ummer due to the financial impact from the coronavirus outbreak, and the Spaniard recently revealed that he had “big concerns” over the size of the team’s transfer budget.
