Almost done: Marina Granovskaia to complete massive £90m deal after Chelsea secure UCL spot

According to reports in Germany, Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia is now pushing for the signing of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz following Chelsea’s Champions League qualification.

The Blues secured Champions League qualification for next season following the 2-0 victory over Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues needed only one point to secure Champions League football for next season but goals from Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud ensured the Blues finished the Premier League season with victory over Wolves.

According to Bild’s Christian Falk, talks between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen concerning Kai Havertz have been given a boost after the Blues secured their place in the top four.

He tweeted: “After qualifying for Champions League: it can now go quickly with the deal of Chelsea and Kai Havertz. Leverkusen does not insist on participating of Havertz in the Euro League. Now the negotiations are getting hot.”
