Andre Onana’s Chance of joining Chelsea finally Revealed

Chelsea have been repeatedly linked with Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana this season due to Chelsea’s lack of quality in the goalkeeping area.

The Blues have conceded a lot of goals this season, and one thing Chelsea have lacked is a world class goalkeeper to save the team with extraordinary saves.

At some point this season, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard had to turn to 38-year-old Willy Caballero, with Kepa sitting out six consecutive games.

Goal have reported that Onana is willing to join Chelsea regardless of whether Kepa stays or not, but is holding out to be the number one at the club.

Kepa is the world’s most expensive goalkeeper ever, but Onana is sure to displace the Spaniard. Hakim Ziyech who will join Chelsea in the summer is also keen to have his pal Onana in the squad.

Chelsea have sorely missed the days of having a goalkeeper in the mould of Petr Cech who was a veteran in goal and helped the club to the Champions League title in 2012 with some stunning saves, especially in the final in Munich.

Thibaut Courtois was expected to be his longtime replacement, but the Belgian left quickly for Real Madrid, much to the fury of Chelsea fans.
