Antonio Rudiger donates $101,000 for free education in Sierra Leone

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger had a meeting to remember – the 26-year-old German international met the President of the small West African nation at the UK-Africa Investment summit.

Rudiger, who happens to have direct Sierra Leonese lineage, donated $101,000 for free education to the President Julius Maada Bio.

“Sierra Leone is my home.

I’m not the talking type of a person, I am about action. You can count on us and do not hesitate,” Rudiger said.

“We are here to support your vision and agenda, especially on education.

I am ready to take on my responsibility to change the narrative and image of Sierra Leone.”

The President told our defender that the money will indeed be used for the greater cause in the most transparent way possible.
