Arsenal legend expects Chelsea to sign 24-year-old potential Premier league attacker in summer

According to Metro, Jack Grealish has emerged as one of Chelsea’s reported targets back in January and Arsenal legend Robert Pires expects the Blues to be among the potential suitors for the 24-year-old in the summer.

“Manchester City need to find a replacement for David Silva next season – and I think Grealish is someone who Pep will look at,” the Frenchman said.

“He is English, he has good experience of the Premier League, and he has a great technique but I think Grealish is a player who would interest a lot of top clubs, like United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

“This has been a tough season for Villa, but I think Grealish will take a lot from it. He has learned how to fight every weekend and we have all seen how much it means to him to play for the club.”

Aston Villa will understandably try to do anything to keep their Academy graduate – much will depend on whether Villans manage to stay up in the Premier League.

Grealish has been with Villa since the age of 6 and made his first steps in the Premier League before they were relegated to the Championship in 2016. Grealish has been superb this season so far. The midfielder has made 27 appearances across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists.
