Attacker opens up and announces ‘he would have regretted’ not signing for Chelsea

Billy Gilmour has admitted that he would have regretted not leaving Rangers for Chelsea.

The young man is one of the most highly-rated talents at the club and is a youngster that Frank Lampard believes will eventually develop into a regular starter at Stamford Bridge over the next few seasons.

And Gilmour has opened up about the option to make the move to Chelsea, admitting that he would have regretted not making the move to Stamford Bridge, He told Four Lads had a Dream podcast: “When I signed for Chelsea, there were a lot of folk asking the questions over why I left.

“They said I was just going to be missing. But I wanted to follow my dream and if I had never done it, I would have regretted it.

“I took the chance, I worked hard and I came down here and believed in myself and my own ability to go to the top and play against these top players.

“So far things have gone well.”

Gilmour is certainly a player that many fans are excited about, as he has shown great potential already in the games that he has managed to play for the Blues.

If he can get the game time that he needs to develop into a real class act, then he will go on to become a top-class players for Chelsea, but he needs to work hard and show th boss that he does have what it takes to succeed at the club.

Lampard has some amazing options at the club, but it says alot when he decided to pick Gilmour, and the lad needs to take that with both hands.
