Bayern Munich gives ‘final decision’ on Chelsea interest in signing Manuel Neuer

Chelsea have been linked with Manuel Neuer in recent days, as the Blues apparently look to replace flop keeper Kepa who was dropped by Frank Lampard for a month earlier this year.

Neuer would certainly be a big name arrival, but not a universally popular one. He has certainly declined since his pomp as the man widely regarded as the world’s best goalkeeper.

But despite the recent links only emerging in the last 24 hours, Goal.com have now struck back with their own claims that the Manuel Neuer claims aren’t true.

They say that the 34 year old is waiting to see who is appointed in the summer, and he will likely remain if Hansi Flick is appointed long term.

In the subtitle, they even go so far as to say that the former Schalke man has “no interest” in coming to Chelsea.

To be honest, the whole thing is fishy, and it sounds like we’re just being used to get him a better contract at Bayern.
