Bayern Munich star opens up to Join Chelsea
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a summer move for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
The Bayern Munich defender will be out of contract at the end of the season and the Blues will be able to offer him a contract in January.
Boateng, who has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City, has admitted he is open to returning to the Premier League amid links with Chelsea.
“I would not say no,” Boateng said in August when asked about a move to the Premier League when his contract expires. “I am definitely down for it, but I don’t know for the future.
“You never know. But it’s not that I would say: ‘I never want to play there.’ It’s one of my favourite leagues for sure.”
