BREAKING: Chelsea midfielder loses nearly £2 million

According to Daily Mail, Danny Drinkwater’s restaurant, FoodWell, has lost nearly £2million in its first 12 months of operation.

The Chelsea midfielder, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, opened the restaurant in March 2019.

Drinkwater’s restaurant is unique and has received good reviews from guests online. His restaurant combines healthy food with fitness classes.

According to FoodWell’s accounts on Companies House, the restaurant has liabilities of £1.7m and cash reserves of just £8,435.

Due to the coronavirus crisis lockdown, the restaurant has been forced to close and is unlikely to reopen for several months, starving it of much-needed income.
