BREAKING: Marina Granovskaia makes transfer decision on Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on strengthening Chelsea’s left-back position this summer and have identified several targets including Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.

According to The Telegraph via Tribal Football, Chelsea are preparing to submit a bid for the Ajax left-back.

The report claims the Argentina international is available from Ajax this summer and Chelsea hope to do business for £25 million. Tagliafico has also been linked with Leicester City but the Premier League side will only make a move for the Argentine if they lose Ben Chilwell to Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Don Hutchinson has urged Chelsea boss Frank Lampard to drop his interest in Ben Chilwell and sign Tagliafico instead.

“Tagliafico all day long,” Hutchison told ESPN FC. “We talk about transfer fees, the Chilwell transfer fee in the U.K., they’re saying over £75m-£80m which I think is astronomical.

“I look around Europe and I see loads of left-backs that are really good, if not better. I see [Marvin] Plattenhardt, I see Philipp Max.

“I think Tagliafico is the best one out there at Ajax, I think he’s terrific and I don’t think he will cost anywhere near £80m, half the money I would imagine. “So he would get my pick, the Argentinian.”
