BREAKING: Some Premier League games could be shown on YouTube for free when season restarts

According to The Times, A few select Premier League fixtures could be aired on Sky Sports and BT Sport’s YouTube channels.

With 92 games left for the current season, all the games will be aired on TV as usual on Sky’s and BT Sport’s pay-TV platforms.

In addition, certain games could also be aired on their respective YouTube channels – which would essentially be free of cost.

The proposal is still being discussed with the broadcasters in question, with Amazon also being touted as a potential platform to be considered.

This move would not only make live football more accessible among the fans but also provide respite to a world battling an unprecedented nightmare in the form of the coronavirus pandemic.

These games would be played behind closed doors, however, as the Premier League gears up to resume the season despite the growing numbers of cases in and around the UK.

Neutral venues like Australia are also being considered for the safety of the players and the staff but not all clubs are happy with this idea. Are you happy with the prospect of watching live games on YouTube? Tell us in the comments below or on our new blogging platform!
