Chelsea set to beat Premier League rivals Man United to signature of young Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer
Jadon Sancho is considered one of the brightest prospects in world football, and the young winger is expected to return home from Germany to play in the Premier League when the transfer window next opens.
He has plenty of suitors, and both Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old, who already has 11 caps for England. Frank Lampard will be eager to freshen up his attacking options with both Pedro and Willian out of contract in the summer. The duo are both in their 30s and likely to move on. That could allow Sancho to arrive as the club’s marquee signing this summer.
According to BonusCodeBets, the Borussia Dortmund man is a 4/1 favourite to join Chelsea during the next transfer window, which will delight supporters of the club.
He is expected to cost upwards of £100m, but in the current climate that seems a fair price for one of England’s most talented youngsters. Sancho has managed 31 goals and 42 assists in 90 appearances for Dortmund since joining them from Manchester City in 2017.
It seems certain that Sancho will leave the German club this summer, with Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, already stating they will not stand in the player’s way.
