According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are now reportedly set to agree a massive double deal to complete the signing of Inter Milan Centre-back Milan Skrinair and Ajax Left-back Nicolas Tagliafico
Chelsea have been defensively woeful this season and Frank Lampard has now identified the defence as a key area to be improved. Chelsea have been in negotiations with Inter Milan concerning the signing of Milan Skrinair and the Blues looks set to finalize the deal now.
25-year Old Milan Skrinair has been hailed as one of the best Centre-backs in Europe and the Slovakian defender has impressed the Blues boss and also Chelsea’s transfer chiefs with his impressive performances. According to reports, Chelsea have held preliminary talks with the players representatives as they are really keen on the deal.
Milan Skrinair fits the profile of the kind of defender Frank Lampard wants at Chelsea as he is very technical, excellent with the ball at his feet, strong in his tackles and has an excellent reading of the game. Chelsea are looking to agree a fee of £68million for the world-class defender.
However, Inter Milan are looking to sell him for a higher fee. Milan Skrinair will be a massive addition to Chelsea as he will bring in massive defensive stability and quality. The defender has also been compared with former premier league defender Nemanja Vidic and he should an excellent addition for the Blues.
Also, Chelsea have struggled at the Left-back position as Emerson and Marcos Alonso have failed to really impress Frank Lampard this season. Chelsea are now set to complete a deal for highly rated Ajax Left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
The Argentine left-back has been linked with a move to Chelsea as he has also been rated as one of the best attacking full-backs in the game. The Ajax defender looks all set to follow Hakim Ziyech to Stamford Bridge as he is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Chelsea are looking to offer a fee of £40million to complete the transfer of the 27-year old defender. The addition of both Milan Skrinair and Tagliafico to Chelsea will be a massive addition of defensive quality which will greatly show their intentions of competing with the likes of City and Liverpool.
