Real Madrid will reportedly ask for a minimum of €30 million from Chelsea to sign Croatian international midfielder Mateo Kovacic on a permanent basis.

According to reports, the Blues are happy to sign the 24-year-old midfielder on a permanent deal after the end of the current campaign.

Kovacic has impressed during his loan spell at Stamford Bridge, having joined as part of the contract that saw Madrid to secure services of Thibaut Courtois

It has been reported that Real Madrid could use Kovacic as a bargaining chip in their efforts to lure Belgian superstar Eden Hazard at Santiago Bernabeu.

Terms have reportedly been agreed for the Belgian to swap London for Madrid at the end of the current campaign, however, the Los Blancos will still need to agree on a fee with Chelsea for their talisman.
