Chelsea evening headlines as Bayern Munich send Philippe Coutinho message to Chelsea

Philippe Coutinho is currently on a season-long loan deal at German giants Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have the option to make Coutinho’s move permanent but have so far seemed unwilling to meet Barcelona’s £100million price tag.

Chelsea have now been handed a huge boost in the race to land Coutinho after Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick cast doubt over the 27 year old’s future at Bayern Munich.

Speaking after Bayern Munich’s win over Union Berlin, Flick said according to The Sun: “I can’t say what will happen with him after the season.

“Philippe is a good guy and an excellent footballer. “I really enjoy working with him.

“We hope he can be back with us again soon and play some games before the end of the season.” Coutinho failed to make Bayern Munich’s team for the victory over Union Berlin.
