The Blues ended the campaign on a bright note after defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup final but the club would like to add reinforcements in key areas in order to strengthen the squad for next season.

Antonio Conte’s future is still uncertain but the Premier League giants are looking to secure new signings as they want to complete the deals as soon as possible.

One of their priorities is to bolster their defense in the transfer window as their backline struggled the most last term and have been linked to host of defenders.

Chelsea have made an offer for Juventus star defender Daniele Rugani and a meeting between the player’s entourage and the chiefs of the Serie A giants is currently ongoing at Milan’s Palazzo Parigi according to CalcioMercato

According to sources then club have offered € 30 million to sign the Italian defender. The Turin Side’s asking price is € 40 million and they are currently negotiating with the agent of the star.

The 23 year old made his debut for the club in 2015 and has impressed with the limited game-time he got. He is still trying to nail down a spot in the first team but has seen his playing time increase over the past year, making 26 appearances in all competitions.

The Premier League giants move for the player indicates that talks with Maurizio Sarri could have a positive end pretty soon. The 59 year old has already worked with him at Empoli.

The Italian tactician tried to sign him for the Partenopei but the Serie A champions blocked the transfer of the defender who is regarded as one of the most promising and talented centre-backs of his generation.
