Chelsea hold ‘concrete’ interest in signing 22-year-old, arsenal and juventus also keen

Reports in Italy have provided further confirmation that Chelsea are interested in signing CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

Chelsea being linked with Golovin following his superb performances for Russia at the World Cup comes as no surprise. After all, our club is owned by a Russian in Roman Abramovich, who must be watching him at the World Cup and salivating.

With Cesc Fabregas having just one-year remaining on his contract, we will soon need to replace the creativity he provides from the middle of the park.

Golovin appears to be the perfect replacement for the Spaniard. He plays in a more advanced role than Fabregas, but would be allowed to roam free by the reserved nature of N’Golo Kante.

At 22-years-old, he’s only going to get better, which is why it’s exciting that even further reports are linking Chelsea with a summer move to sign Golovin.

Italian publication Tuttosport mention ‘concrete’ interest from Chelsea and Arsenal in a report linking Golovin with a move to Juventus.

Interest in signing him is (inevitably) high. Chelsea ought to move fast to ensure we don’t miss out, irrespective of the current managerial uncertainty at the club.
