Chelsea keen to sign this £36m replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga: Good enough?

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is actively looking to sign a replacement to Kepa Arrizabalaga for the 2020/21 season.

The Spanish keeper has been really mediocre for the Blues so far during the 2019-20 season, making a series of really silly errors during crunch matches. And this is why the manager is looking to bring in a new No 1.

The Blues have scouted players like Nick Pope and Fraser Forster in recent times and as per the Express, Lampard is now focused on AS Roma man Pau Lopez.

The report claims: “Chelsea are interested in signing Pau Lopez this summer as a replacement for Kepa Arrizbalaga, according to reports. The Roma goalkeeper is also on the radar of West Ham and former club Tottenham despite an average season at the Stadio Olimpico.

“Chelsea are yet to decide whether they will stick with current No 1 Kepa or move the Spanish stopper on this summer.

“A host of high-profile stars have been touted as potential replacements, including Andre Onana, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Nick Pope.

“Now Estadio Deportivo claim Lopez is the latest keeper to attract interest from the Blues.”
