Chelsea ready to complete massive £80M signing of World-Class Premier League defender

Chelsea are looking to bring in massive defensive reinforcements ahead of next season as the Blues are looking to solve their defensive issues which has been a major challenge for Frank Lampard. Chelsea are reportedly ready to sign Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu as the defender has caught the attention of Frank Lampard.

The defender has been instrumental in Leicester City’s pursuit for Champions League places and he has been regarded as one of the standout defenders in the EPl already. Soyuncu has also helped to ensure Leicester didn’t miss the departure of Harry Maguire who left the club for Manchester United.

The Turkish defender has been a revelation for Brendan Rodgers this season but he initially struggled to impress in his First season. However, he is now already regarded as one of the premier league’s best defenders.

Leicester are reportedly ready to listen to offers in the region of £80m as that will be the fee required to sign the player. Manchester City and Tottenham have also expressed their intents for the defender but it is Chelsea who are ahead of the chasing pack to sign the highly rated defender.

However, Chelsea will have to battle with Manchester city in order to sign the defender as Pep Guardiola has been keep a close eye on the defender.

However it has been reported that Chelsea might be looking to loan out Fikayo Tomori next season as the young English defender fell out of the starting line up after some poor displays. This could potentially pave the way for Chelsea to complete the signing of Caglar Soyuncu.

Soyuncu isn’t the only Leicester City defender that Chelsea are looking to sign as they are also monitoring Ben Chilwell. The Blues are also keen to add a left back to their side and they could be looking to snap up the Leicester left back.
