Chelsea Reject £65m Bid For Star Player… But Will Sell For £70m

Chelsea have reportedly rejected a £65M bid for Willian from Barcelona – but the Spanish side aren’t far off our valuation.

Willian is our reigning players’ player of the year, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t sell him if the opportunity arises.

His behaviour towards the end of the season was a disgrace, regardless of how he was treated by former manager Antonio Conte.

We would not be opposed to his departure considering his unprofessional conduct and inconsistent performances… if the price was right.

That appears to be a similar standpoint to Chelsea’s.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have rejected a mammoth £65M bid from Barcelona for Willian. We’re thought to be prepared to sell for £70M.

Whether or not Barca are willing to pay that remains to be seen. Recent reports have suggested that they’ve turned their attentions to Bordeaux starlet Malcom.

With such little time left in the summer window, we’ll likely see developments on this front imminently.
