Chelsea set to make ‘massive’ profit on tricky winger this summer

There may not be football presently due to coronavirus, but that hasn’t stopped clubs doing transfer business all over the world – or at least being rumoured to.

According to Football Insider, they claim to know that Chelsea are demanding Sassuolo buy them out of their buy-back clause on winger Jeremie Boga.

He’s had an excellent season on the wing in Serie A, and top clubs are sniffing around him. But smartly Chelsea have put in a clause that allows them to buy him for €15m this summer.

That’s a lot more than the €3m they sold him for last summer, but also still far below his current value.

Presumably our arrangement will be to demand, say €20m for him. Otherwise, threaten to just activate is clause for €15m and then sell him on ourselves.

For once, we’re in a strong position here, and it’s nice to make some money on a young player who was let go on the cheap without having really been given a chance at Chelsea.
