Chelsea are reportedly set to make three announcements in a short space of time, with our previously uneventful summer set to explode into life.
That’s according to the Express, who are under the belief that official confirmation regarding Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri and Daniele Rugani could all be imminent.
Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte’s departure is expected to be officially announced this week. He will pay the ultimate price for his failures last season.
Chelsea failed to defend their Premier League crown, nor were we able to qualify for the Champions League. Conte has been held responsible and, as per the Express, will subsequently be sacked.
Maurizio Sarri
The Express claim that Maurizio Sarri is finally on his way to Chelsea after the Blues reached an agreement with Napoli to release him from his contract.
Sarri has been linked with Chelsea continuously over the past weeks and months. Official announcement will put an end to a lengthy saga.
Daniele Rugani
According to the Express, Daniele Rugani is set to be Chelsea’s first addition of this year’s summer transfer window.
The Italian worked under Sarri during his loan spell with Empoli. It appears as though he’s set to do so once again at Stamford Bridge.
