Chelsea star admits his mistake against Southampton cost Chelsea alot

Following Chelsea’s 3-3 draw against Southampton on Saturday, Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz has admitted his mistake that led to Southampton’s first goal just before halftime changed the game.

The Blues were cruising to a 2-0 lead at halftime before Havertz was caught in possession that led to the Saints halving the deficit at a crucial moment just before half-time.

“We’re very frustrated about the result,” Havertz said.

“We had 42 good minutes in the first half but then I made a mistake and we conceded a goal, which changed the game a little bit.

“We got it to 3-2 and then we have to take the result and get the win at home but we didn’t do it. Now we have to stick together and hopefully we can do better next time.”
