Valencia are thought to be hopeful that a deal can be done with Chelsea to loan Michy Batshuayi for the 2018/19 campaign.
This would be a strange one. Chelsea do not appear to have entirely ruled out Batshuayi’s departure, which makes little sense considering Maurizio Sarri has continually insisted that the Belgian will be part of his first-team setup this coming season.

The only possible explanation is that Chelsea have their eye on a new striker, and could need to make room for his arrival by shifting Batshuayi, at least temporarily.
It would be incredibly unwise for Chelsea, a team with a striker crisis already, to part with the frontman most likely to record a decent enough goal return for us this season.
This whole situation is very fishy. We don’t know what to expect after the Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mateo Kovacic deals materialised out of thin air.
