Chelsea target Alphonso Davies ‘massive decision’ can be a great news for Chelsea

According to Football London, The 27-year-old could be open to a move away from Bayern Munich this summer.

However, one name who should be near the top of the list when it comes to a potential transfer is David Alaba at Bayern Munich. The 27-year-old has been a superb performer for the Bundesliga side, having won eight league titles and the Champions League among many others.

However, his natural role of left-back has come under serious threat this season with the emergence of Alphonso Davies, meaning Alaba has been shifted inside.

Davies has been a superb addition to the German side, with the 19-year-old showing lightning pace, something he showed in the win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern have decided to pin down the young Canadian to a new deal and Davies will be with them until the 2025.

Davies is certainly the starting choice in the position, which could free up Alaba to move on in the summer. With a contract that runs out at the end of next season, Alaba could be a good acquisition for a club needing a new left-back, which Chelsea do.

The other upside would be that Alaba could fit into another role and shift into the middle as a left-footed centre-back, something else that Chelsea need. Davies’ deal which he signed earlier this month is a sign that Alaba is no longer the main man at left-back, and that could certainly work out well for Chelsea.
