Chelsea to agree mega $121m deal for two dream transfer targets

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a sensational double swoop worth £95m ( $121.1m) for PSG ace Edinson Cavani and Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to bring Cavani to Stamford Bridge as he seeks to remedy the club woes in front of goal.

Cavani is regarded as one of the deadliest strikers in Europe and has scored a remarkable 183 goals in 262 appearances for PSG.

Chelsea strike duo of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have failed to impress Sarri this season, this has led media sources to speculate about a new striker joining the club in January.

Karim Benzema, Callum Wilson, and Gonzalo Higuain have been linked to the Blues in the past few weeks.

Barella’s situation is different as the London club intends to finalize a deal worth £45million with Cagliari before loaning him back for the remainder of the season. This would mirror the transfer of Christian Pulisic and ensure that the midfielder joins in summer rather than in January.

One major departure expected this week is that of Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who played his last game for the club in the FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest. The mercurial midfielder is expected to move to Monaco in the coming days.
