Finally, It is all said and done for Chelsea as they sealed their fifth signing of the summer transfer window. Now it is just up to the club to announce the German holding their colors. The situation has been dragged on for quite some time, but it is slowly coming to the end.

As per the usual sources, they have all confirmed that the German international has passed the medical on Sunday and just formalities are remaining between him and Chelsea. Popular football journalist, who is very trusted with news relating to German football, Christian Falk, has confirmed the story. Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the same about Kai Havertz.

Kai Havertz signed the personal terms with the London club almost a month ago. But the final transfer fee needed to be agreed between Bayer Leverkusen and Chelsea. The deal has been finally reached.

To have the services of the German, Chelsea will be paying 80 million Euros to Bayer with 20 million more in the add-ons, mostly performance-related clauses. Also, a loan deal of Malang Sarr is also has been agreed upon.

Chelsea will be announcing the German soon to avoid the mandatory 14 day quarantine period for him. They have to announce Kai Havertz before either of the games of Germany for that. The delay in the announcement has not cost Chelsea that much as Kai is also surrounded by some of the Chelsea players.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger and Timo Werner are also on national duty with the German national side.

Now, Chelsea fans have just hope that their players return completely fit from the poorly timed UEFA Nations League fixtures. An injury to a player now could be a big blow for any club just before the start of the season.
