CONFIRMED: Chelsea Key player extends contract until 2023

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has triggered a one-year extension on his current Chelsea deal.

According to The Telegraph, the 22 year old striker triggered a one-year extension after reaching a set number of appearances and goals this season, meaning he will stay at Stamford Bridge until 2023.

The England international is Chelsea’s top scorer with 16 goals in 40 games and has also contributed six assists.

The last contract Abraham signed in 2017 initially ran to 2022 and it was worth £50,000 a week. Abraham will reportedly earn a pay rise following the contract extension.

Chelsea have tied down several other youngsters to long-term contracts with Mason Mount, Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all committing their futures to the club.
