CONFIRMED? Chelsea Set To Sign This 41-goal Forward To Replace Disappointing Morata

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are losing faith that their side might rebuild this summer. The club is still silent on all things manager and transfer related, and that’s a problem.

Some serious changes are needed at Stamford Bridge this summer, and in particular, changes need to be made in the attack.

Alvaro Morata was Chelsea’s big-money purchase last summer, but it’s fair to say that his first season hasn’t gone to plan. He started well, but his form quickly dipped, and he hasn’t been able to recover.

It’s no real surprise, then, that reports from the Mirror are linking the Blues with a replacement in the form of Robert Lewandowski.

Indeed, it’s a move that fans would love to see, it seems, at least according to a recent poll.

We recently asked Chelsea fans whether they’d like to see Lewandowski replace Morata, and a whopping 89% of fans responded stating that they would.

Lewandowski’s form over the last few years has been sensational, and so it’s no surprise that he’s so popular with Chelsea fans.

He bagged a stunning 41 goals in all competitions last season, and that’s a number that would put him amongst the Premier League’s best were he to repeat that feat.

He won’t be cheap, of course, but Lewandowski is clearly a popular man in SW6.
