Confirmed: Referee for Chelsea’s FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest

Peter Bankes will be the referee for Chelsea’s FA Cup third round match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The 37 year old referee has never been in charge of a Chelsea game before and has only officiated his first Premier League game this season.

Bankes has officiated 14 games this season, five of them in the Premier League.

Edward Smart and Graham Kane will be his assistants, while Neil Hair will be the fourth official. John Brooks will be the video assistant referee, assisted by Andrew Halliday.

As the game takes place at a stadium of a Premier League team, VAR will be working as well.

John Brooks will be the main video assistant referee, helped by Andrew Halliday.
