Do you agree? Check out Neuer stats that proves he will be a great signing for Chelsea

Chelsea are keen on signing a new goalkeeper at the end of the season in order to step up competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga, after Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was left unimpressed with the Spaniard’s performances this season.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are willing to offer Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer a five year deal to leave Bayern Munich for Stamford Bridge.

Neuer has a year left on his contract with Bayern, and wants the German side to offer him a new five year contract but the German club are only willing to offer him a two year deal.

According to reports, he’s now open to leaving the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Check out some of his stats:

Neuer has kept a clean sheet in a 52% of his matches in the Bundesliga and is closing in on the league record set by Oliver Kahn (204). He also boasts the biggest number of clean sheets of anyone in Europe’s top five leagues (126) since joining his current club in 2011, followed by Gianluigi Buffon (124).

The gap is even wider in the Champions League: Neuer has kept opponents at bay 35 times; Jan Oblak, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Buffon are all far behind (26). Neuer is also, the best sweeper-keeper in the world: he made 157 interceptions outside his box and has a mind-boggling 82% passing accuracy – best in the Bundesliga.

Who would you rather have in the Chelsea goal next season: Kepa or Neuer?
