Dortmund sends massive message to Chelsea about Sancho move in summer

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is wanted by several Premier League clubs this summer including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes the England international is the right player to replace Eden Hazard at Chelsea and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to back Lampard in the race for the England international.

According to The Express, Borussia Dortmund hope to stop Sancho from joining Chelsea by offering him a huge pay rise.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to make Sancho the highest paid player at the German club, only behind Marco Reus, by increasing his salary from six million to 10 million euros a year. Borussia Dortmund want Sancho to stay for at least one more year at the German club.

This is exactly the tactic Dortmund used to persuade both Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to remain at the club for another 12 months when they seemed certain to depart and Borussia Dortmund are hoping it works with Sancho.

Sancho is waiting to see which teams will contest the Champions League before making his final decision on his next destination.

The 20 year old grew up as a Chelsea supporter and the Blues are hoping that will give us an edge in the race for Sancho.
