Eden Hazard scoops PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year award

Eden Hazard has scooped another award this season. The forward was voted a winner in the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year poll.

He has become the first Chelsea footballer to get the prize player since Frank Lampard in 2005.

The Belgian was shortlisted alongside Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mané.

The Liverpool defender who received the PFA Players’ Player of the Year accolade was considered a favourite for this award.

Last year it was Mohamed Salah who collected the prize. Tottenham’s Harry Kane won it in 2017.

The Belgian delivered an outstanding season to become a top assistant in the Premier League.

Hazard has already been named the Premier League’s Playmaker of the Season.

He has written a new page in Chelsea history by collecting the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards for 2019, becoming the first Blues player to scoop all three awards in the same year.
