Eden Hazard: What I think about Liverpool FC and Man City right now

Eden Hazard believes that Liverpool FC and Manchester City are the standout teams in the Premier League at the moment.
Liverpool FC have been in superb form this season and they currently find themselves at the top of the table as they look to try and win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are four points behind the Reds as they look to try and defend the title they won last season.

Chelsea FC are currently fourth in the table and 13 points behind leaders Liverpool FC, with the Blues seemingly now more focused on a top-four finish than challenging for the title.

Hazard, who was speaking after helping Chelsea FC set up a League Cup final against Manchester City with a penalty shootout win over Tottenham on Thursday night, admits that the Citizens and the Reds are the top teams in the Premier League right now.

Hazard told Sky Sports when asked about the League Cup final: “It’s always hard [against Man City].

“With Liverpool, I think they [City] are the best team in the Premier League at the moment, they win a lot of trophies in the last five or six years, but we also have a great team so I think it is a 50-50 game.”

The 28-year-old was praised for his performance by Maurizio Sarri on Thursday night, but Hazard insisted that he is only focused on performing on the pitch.

He continued: “To be fair, I don’t care. I just play my football, it doesn’t matter what the manager said. I just focus on this team and I always want to do the best for this team, today I did and I’m just happy.”

Chelsea FC will take on Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday night.
