Former Chelsea player reveals Frank Lampard ‘slight problem with Chelsea board’

Former Chelsea player Glenn Hoddle, thinks Frank Lampard’s relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is not at the same level as it was during his career as a player.

As the former player and manager believes, it might have had an impact on the club’s fruitless (so far) transfer campaign.

“I think the relationship with Abramovich when he was playing was very good,” Hoddle said to Premier League Productions.

However, “I’m not so sure it’s at that level at the moment and I think that’s where Frank’s got a slight problem with the board.

“It was obviously changed with Abramovich’s situation, the scenario’s changed obviously, not being able to come into the country. and all these things have made Chelsea a different club to what it was possibly two seasons ago.”

Chelsea have reportedly been looking for a striker in the January transfer window. Edinson Cavani, Moussa Dembele, Krzysztof Piatek and Dries Mertens have been among those mentioned as the Blues’ targets, but no move has materialised yet.

Let’s see how it goes within the last two days, remember Chelsea always work on deadline day.
