Frank Lampard ends an ‘Incredible’ Jose Mourinho record after Spurs win

The clash against Tottenham was a game between a master and a student, but the student tactically outwitted his master and gave him a huge lesson to take home with.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has set a record having become the first manager to record a league double over Jose Mourinho in his whole career.

Chelsea got a 2-1 win against Spurs at the Tottenham Stadium back in December, and the Blues recorded another win over their bitter London rivals at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon yet again.

When told about the record, Lampard said: “I have just found that out and what credit to Jose for having that record. It’s nothing to do with me!

“We’re delighted to get the better of him but what an incredible record from him. I’ll take that but it’s all credit to Jose.”

Chelsea were by far the better team today and Spurs were lucky to have gotten a goal courtesy of an own goal scored by Antonio Rudiger late in the game.
