Frank Lampard reveals how he feels about Chelsea’s lack of transfers

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted that the club might not make any signings this transfer window, and has said so in his press conference ahead of the Chelsea game with Leicester City.

On transfer deadline day, Lampard has said that Chelsea’s chances of not making any signing stand at 95 percent, despite the club being linked with a number of targets.

The Blues boss made it clear that signing a striker was his priority, but admits his frustration that a deal couldn’t be completed.

The Chelsea manager said: “The window is probably 95 per cent shut for us and no ins means no outs.

“I know there are hours left of it but the answer would be no to most of the players we’ve been linked with.

“I wouldn’t say it’s been frustrating as I’m very aware of how football is. Some things are not in my control so my first thought is always what happens on the training pitch.

It’s clear we wanted to bring players in and I’ve made that pretty clear over the last weeks but it hasn’t happened.”
