Frank Lampard told possible Chelsea signing is worth £80 million this summer

Chelsea target Jack Grealish is worth every penny of his £80 million price-tag, claimed former Aston Villa team-mate Alan Hutton.

Grealish has become one of the most talks about football players over the last few months, as his performances for Villa this season has led to alot of speculation that all the big clubs are lining up a summer move.

Now, amid the speculation that we are ready to open the cheque book, Hutton has come out and told the Blues that Grealish would be worth every bit of that £80 million that he is currently valued at.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Obviously it’s a massive price tag, but in my opinion, he’s worth every penny, he’s that good.

“He could be a team’s game-changer, and that’s no disrespect to anyone at Aston Villa, you know I love them to bits, but for him to be playing with a top-four team, I think he’d be outstanding. “Everybody would be buzzing off him, they would see his quality, and I think he would only grow in stature, so I totally understand the price tag.

“Whether what’s happened is going to affect it, I’m not too sure because it’s going to happen to every club.” Grealish is a very young player with a big future in the game, and to be honest he would fit into this midfield very nicely.

But come on!! He is not worth that £80 million just yet and we would be paying way over the top for a man that has had one good season in the Premier League, and not even a full season. He is brilliant yes, but no more than £40 million, anymore than that and it could be seen as a waste.
