Gilmour reveals the three world-class players he always learned from

Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour gave an eye-catching performance at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night as the Blues defeated Liverpool 2-0 to send them packing from the FA Cup.

It was a nice game by the young 18-year-old as he dictated the play from the middle of the park. Gilmour controlled the game and his positioning was excellent with and without the ball.

Gilmour has been the talk of the media since his performance against Liverpool, with many top pundits and ex footballers speaking highly of him.

According to the Sun, Gilmour studies videos of Real Madrid ace Luka Modric, Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta and former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, and he has modeled his game after the three world-class midfielders.

The Scotsman is highly rated and even attracted attention from Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona before sealing a move to Chelsea as a 16-year-old in 2017.

Former Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas was also full of praise for the youngster.

Asked on Twitter what he thought of Gilmour’s performance against Liverpool, Fabregas said: “Fantastic.

Personality on the ball, intelligence in his decision making, always making angles to offer himself and has that bit of aggression in him which is very important specially in the Premier League.”
