Giroud & Hazard nominated for Europa League Player of the Season award.
Olivier Giroud has joined Real Madrid duo Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic in the three-man shortlist for the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season award.
Although the Belgian and the Serbian are now representing the La Liga giants, they earned the nomination playing for Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively last term.
Giroud finished the victorious campaign as the competition’s best goalscorer – 11 goals + 5 assists in 14 appearances.
Hazard had only 8 EL games in 2018/19 but won the man of the match award in the Baku final by scoring a brace in the 4-1 over Arsenal – his farewell appearance for the Blues.
The award will be presented in Monaco on August 30.
