Good News: Champions League winner wants to play for Chelsea not Real Madrid

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Keylor Navas may be among the throng of stars who might be following coach, Zidane out of the club.

Despite winning a third successive Champions League medal, Navas may be seeking a move away from the club as Madrid have been continually linked with Chelsea number one, Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian has a year left on his Chelsea contract and following a breakdown of talks, the club will look to sell him on than letting him leave on a free at the end of next season. Reports from Spain suggest Navas wants to make a switch to Chelsea.

Since replacing legend, Casillas between the sticks, Navas has gone on to enjoy tremendous success at the Bernabeu. However, there has always been question marks about the player, with Madrid President Fiorentino Perez often wanting to sign David De Gea to replace him but he’s always been backed by former manager, Zidane. However, following Zidane’s shock resignation, his days at the Bernabeu seem to be numbered.

Incidentally, Navas almost switched places with De Gea at United on transfer deadline day in 2015 until a faulty fax machine ensured both shot stoppers remained at their clubs. Navas, who also played for Levante his in the Costa Rican squad to the World Cup
