Good News: Chelsea handed huge boost as Liverpool drop out from race to sign £100 million forward

Chelsea have been handed a huge boost in the race for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

According to The Mirror, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have left the door open for both Chelsea and Manchester United after bowing out of the race to sign Jadon Sancho.

The report claims Liverpool will only consider a move for Sancho if one of their attacking trio (Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane) left Anfield in the summer.

Sancho has shone in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund since joining in 2017 but the German club are willing to let the 20 year old leave if he pushes for a transfer.

“Even before the coronavirus outbreak, we said that we prefer that Jadon stays with us,” Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told Bild. “At the end of the day, however, you always have to respect what the player wants.

“I can clearly say that even the very rich clubs, despite the existential crisis, do not have to believe that they can go on a bargain tour with us. We don’t have to sell anyone below value.”
