Guardiola bless player to join Chelsea, Blues to offload 3 key players to reach €150m deal agreement, as midfielder wants Chelsea return

According to Daily Mal, Pep Guardiola has gives his blessing for Sergio Aguero to join rivals Chelsea

Aguero is leaving City when his contract expires and Pep Guardiola claimed on Friday that he would have no problem with the striker joining a Premier League rival.

However, Chelsea have kept an eye on Aguero’s situation, with interest in the 32-year-old also coming from abroad.

‘All of us wish the best for him,’ said Guardiola. ‘We’ll be delighted with the decision he takes, the best for him and his family, to find the best for Sergio for the last years of his career. My preference is his preference. His preference is my preference. The best for him is the best for us.’

City supporters have flocked to snap up ‘Aguero 10’ kits — his final strip in his last season before bringing an end to a decade-long association with the club.

Aguero surpassed Eric Brook’s goalscoring record and will have a statue erected in his honour outside the Etihad Stadium.

‘Sergio is a lovely person with specific qualities and skills,’ added Guardiola. ‘I understand him, I know him, and I understand he needs time to get in the best condition.’

Chelsea could offload key players for Dortmund to reach agreement over Erling Haaland’s transfer

Thomas Tuchel could be enticed to part ways with his first-team stars at Stamford Bridge with the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland heating up leading into this summer’s transfer window

Reports from the Express claim that the Blues are in line to include the likes of Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham among others to convince Dortmund in sanctioning Haaland’s sale.

WERNER AND PULISIC ON THE WAY OUT?
Nearly a summer into his big-money move from RB Leipzig, Timo Werner has failed to meet the expectations that had surrounded his arrival in West London and Tuchel might be forced to offload the German back to his homeland.

Another forward on the fringes of the Chelsea first-team plans is former Dortmund man Christian Pulisic and the American’s recent lack of game time could take him out the exit door at the Bridge.

TUCHEL COULD BE FORCED TO OFFLOAD NEW RECRUIT HAKIM ZIYECH

The Moroccan international, another purchase of Chelsea’s lavish spending last summer, has struggled for consistency in his showings despite showing sparks of brilliance every now and then.

Ziyech’s inability to fit in his new surroundings could hasten his departure from Chelsea as Tuchel eyes a move for long-term target Haaland with the Norway international courted by European heavyweights Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Chelsea midfielder DANNY DRINKWATER is still hoping for one last chance at Chelsea while he rebuilds his career out on loan.

On loan at Turkish club Kasimpasa, the 31-year-old says he is still searching for the love of the game that he felt so strongly when winning the Premier League title with Leicester.

The midfielder joined Chelsea a year after that fairytale achievement but the £35million switch has not gone to plan.

And Drinkwater has described his time at Stamford Bridge as ‘frustrating’.

He told Sada Elbalad’s Elmatch Program: “It was a big price tag at the time but I felt it was exciting.

“It was a new change, I felt I could play and show my worth. I just think it was a lack of chances. “My time at Chelsea has been nothing but frustrating.

“It is a weird position that I am in. It is definitely different but I don’t think I am the first, nor will I be the last. This is part of football.”

The player recalled: “[Sarri] gave me one hour of the window. “He said, ‘I think you’re gonna get frustrated’, he explained and was honest, which was great.

“But I had one hour to find a club because I wasn’t willing to go abroad. I’d just had a son, I wanted to be close to my son. “And I didn’t want to be part of the loan structure, it was a lot of mixed feelings. So I decided to stay, I was baffled.

“There were days where I got frustrated at the whole situation, things started to happen off the pitch that shouldn’t have.”

Quiet loan spells at Burnley and Aston Villa were followed by a switch to Kasimpasa, where Drinkwater has made seven appearances.

A return to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer is not out the question for Drinkwater, who still has a year left on his contract, but he accepts that it is a ‘long’ way off.

Asked if he can get back in the Blues team, he noted: “I would like to think so.

I don’t know if it is a good idea to go back to Chelsea and start declaring these things. I have got a long way to go.

“I have to try and start enjoying my football again because in this moment it has disappeared. “I keep working hard, I keep grafting and I am doing the right things at the right times and I need to stay injury free and see where it takes me.

“It is a short career so I need to keep doing the right things and hope things turn around.”
