Happening Now! Top reporter gives positive update on Chelsea’s next signing

Chelsea have completed deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, and a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz is expected to be completed this summer.

Sky Sports pundit Kaveh Solhekol, has given update on Chelsea’s move for Havertz, and he admitted that the deal will happen anytime soon, as this represents the best time for Leverkusen to sell Havertz.

“Well, I think this deal is definitely looking like it’s going to happen pretty soon,” Solhekol said.

“The state of play is that Chelsea want to sign him, he [Havertz] wants to move to Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen will sell him this summer simply because he’s got two years left on his contract and he’s not going to be signing a new deal so this is the time they’re going to get the biggest transfer fee for him.

“Bayer Leverkusen want €100m which is about £90m. I don’t think Chelsea are going to stretch as far as that, we think they’re going to do a deal probably for something like £70m but everything is pointing to the fact this deal is going to be done pretty soon.”

German top-tier journalist Christian Falk has also recently claimed that negotiations are ongoing between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen over the signing of Kai Havertz.
