“I rather sign for a club with a vision like (Chelsea) than Manchester United- £71m star reveals

Former Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz was linked with a move to many top clubs in Europe, with Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United the clubs that showed interest in Havertz.

Kai Havertz ended up sealing a £71m move to Chelsea, and reports claim add-ons could rise it to £90m.

Havertz revealed he joined Chelsea because of the vision of the club, as he rejected moves from other clubs.

Havertz revealed his reasons for joining Chelsea over United as he spoke to Sport Bild:

“To me, it was important to have a club with a vision

“We want to build something here and attack. This motivates me. And then, a title with Chelsea is just worth more.

“A transfer like this doesn’t happen overnight. I had enough to go through all options and things which are important to me.

“I was watching a lot of Premier League on TV anyhow and knew Chelsea really well.”
