“I won’t lie i want him at Chelsea”- Rudiger reveals another player he wants at Chelsea after helping in securing Werner deal

The Blues have signed Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, and the German international officially became a Chelsea player from July 1.

Chelsea beat competition from other top clubs in Europe to sign Werner with the German signing a five-year deal to join the Blues.

However, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger played a role in convincing Werner to join Chelsea, and the Blues are also interested in another German international, Kai Havertz.

Rudiger has now admitted that he’d love to see the young German sign for Chelsea as well.

Asked about Chelsea transfer target Havertz, Rudiger told Sky Germany: “Kai is talented, when I saw him train with the Germany national team I was like, ‘wow!’

“I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t want him at Chelsea.”

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has now admitted Havertz has an agreement with the German club to leave this summer if certain conditions are met.
