Chelsea will now return their full attention to the Premier League as they take on an unpredictable Everton side. The Blues are done with a successful European group stage campaign and can now wholeheartedly focus on the league games. They have been in decent form with 3 wins in their last 5.

Everton on the other hand are experiencing a cold patch with just the one win in five. They have suffered 3 losses in the same duration. It doesn’t look like Frank Lampard’s men will have much of a problem in this game but you never know what Ancelotti can throw at you.

Team News
Hakim Ziyech has been out of action since the Leeds game and could well be out for another few weeks. Callum Hudson-Odoi is ruled out due to a hamstring problem and could return at the same time as Ziyech. Other than that, Lampard will have the whole of this squad to pick from.

Probable Chelsea XI
Formation: 4-3-3

Edouard Mendy (GK): The reliable Mendy is likely to be back and take over from Kepa after being rested against Krasnodar.

Reece James (RB): James will also be expected to resume his duties at right-back.

Kurt Zouma (CB): The Frenchman has been rock at the back for his side this season. He is one of the reasons Chelsea find themselves close to the top position.

Thiago Silva (CB): The veteran Brazilian has been rotated and rested on a regular basis to keep him fresh for the league games.
Ben Chilwell (LB): Chilwell has been the first choice and he too resumes his duties at left-back.

Ngolo Kante (DM): Kante was given a few minutes in the midweek but will likely start this one out.

Matteo Kovacic (CM): Has been a fantastic operator in midfield through this season and will look to continue the same.

Mason Mount (CM): Mount looks in good touch this season and has been one of their best players.

Kai Havertz (RW): The record signing is slowly getting back to his stride and should be handed another start.

Timo Werner (ST): Should start this one in his preferred centre-forward role after just getting a few minutes against Kransnodar.

Christian Pulisic (LW): It will be tricky to manage Pulisic’s minutes because of his recent injury. Will be expected to play some part at least.
